Rafa Nadal’s Sunreef 80 Power Catamaran ‘Great White’ Wins Award
International tennis star, Rafa Nadal, is the proud owner of custom Sunreef 80 Power, Great White, that was awarded the ‘Best Catamaran’ trophy at the Best of the Best ceremony hosted by Robb Report. These awards are considered the ultimate accolade in the luxury industry and recognise incredible craftsmanship, attention to detail and the pursuit of perfection. The panel decided that Great White represented all the best characteristics of power catamarans, with standout features being the aft garage, a private foldout balcony in the master cabin and vast relaxation area on the flybridge.
The UIM Environmental Award
Sunreef Yachts has won the Union Internationale Motonautique Environmental Award. Established in 1922, the UIM is the world governing body for all powerboat activities, and this award recognises outstanding environmental leaders that have excelled in inspiration, vision, innovation, leadership and initiatives to the benefit of the natural environment. The shipyard’s in-house engineered solar power system has been voted as the most innovative green motoryacht technology. The system is the only composite-integrated photovoltaic technology in the marine industry.
Sunreef 60 E Voted Best Electric Sailboat 2021
The jury of e-yacht experts award the Sunreef 60 Eco as ‘Best Electric Sailboat’ at the Gustave Trouve Awards for Excellence in Electric Boats and Boating, or ‘The Gussies’. This award recognises the inventors, designers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs and visionaries who are making advanced to develop clean, quiet, zero emission technology that mean we rely less on fossil fuel for propulsion and take a more sustainable approach.
Powered from 2 x 80kW battery bank, the yacht’s twin 75 kW engines allow for up to 6 hours of motoring in complete silence. The batteries allow all the appliances to operate for up to 24 hours and are capable of powering all-night air-conditioning.
Besides a reliable and efficient electric propulsion, the Sunreef 60 E stands out with a carbon fibre Bimini with in-built curved solar panels, weight-efficient and sustainable finishing materials as well as a non-toxic bottom paint.
Awards at the World Yachts Trophies Sept 2021
The World Yachts Trophies are considered one of the most important and respected award ceremonies in the world and Sunreef came away with a double victory. The awards started with the Sunreef 70 Power winning ‘Best Motor Catamaran’ followed by the Sunreef Eco range that bagged the ‘Green Yacht’ trophy.

The Sunreef 70 was voted ‘Best Sailing Yacht’ at the International Yacht and Aviation Awards which was held at the Belmond Hotel Cipriani in Venice. This prestigious award ceremony celebrates the best creations and most innovative concepts in the aircraft and yachting industry. The Sunreef 70 was recognised for her innovative and trend-setting design and superior performance under sail. The 70 is a fully customisable yacht, offering owners autonomy in terms of designing layouts and decor.
Sunreef Yachts’ Eco Range wins award for sustainability
Sunreef’s Eco range wins an award as the industry’s best ‘Environmental Initiative’ at the Boat Builder Awards 2021 that was held in Amsterdam at the METS Trade show. The range was rewarded for its use of innovative technology and sustainable materials, and was also recognised for representing a ‘holistic and comprehensive’ approach to responsible yachting as the world’s most advanced series of eco-friendly catamarans.

The Sunreef 80 Power Catamaran received the Oceanway China Yacht Award for Motor Catamaran of the Year. This award came after the range won Best Catamaran in the Layout category the year before.
