European premier of the Ultima 55
At this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, we had the opportunity to witness the European premiere of the Sunreef Ultima 55 and step onboard for an exclusive first tour. As the newest model in Sunreef’s innovative Ultima line, the 55 brings together sleek design, cutting-edge technology, with a focus on performance and speed.
Designed for those who are performance-orientated, the sporty silhouette blends with the elegance of a luxury motor yacht with the stability and volume of a catamaran. Walking onto the aft deck, we were struck by the large versatile space with fold-down platforms extending the beam to 7.6m, creating a large beach club area.
Inside, the saloon you are first greeted by the spacious lounge, where kitchen appliances are discreetly integrated for extra comfort and practicality, forward of the saloon is the helm which seats two. The layout below deck includes a spacious master en-suite and a VIP en-suite cabin, all finished to Sunreef’s high standards of craftsmanship.
The Ultima 55 is defined by its performance. Built in Ras Al Khaimah, she is powered by twin Volvo Penta D8-IPS 800 engines, capable of 36 knots and with optional propulsion upgrades pushing her past 40 knots. A foil system boosts efficiency at speed, while the lightweight carbon deck enhances agility.
On the tech side, she features Sunreef’s in-house WETRA Intelligent Automation System, giving owners full control over all onboard systems at a glance, with future AI upgrades for predictive maintenance.
