We last caught up with you in May and a lot has happened since then. Despite the obvious challenges 2021 has brought with it, S6 Marine has had a very positive year so far and the team continues to work collaboratively from around the world as we are increasingly able to travel to meet more of you.
The month of June saw the team at the Palma Super Yacht Show. This presented a great opportunity to meet a number of clients who were either thinking about current or future projects. Another highlight from the trip was the sea trial we were part of on a 29m Jongert for a prospective owner, and a trip around the bay on Sunreef 80 Great White. It was great to be back on the water, talking with people about upcoming projects!
What’s more, Matt and Karolina have recently retuned from the delivery of a Sunreef 80 sail from Genoa, Italy to Palma, Mallorca. They had a fantastic trip with great weather, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and they even met some whales and dolphins along the way. If you follow us on social media, you will have seen some of the best shots from the trip that are worth checking out.
Following the success of the Palma Yacht Show in June, we are looking forward to the Cannes Yachting Festival in September which is the next show we are attending as a team. The show is scheduled to take place between 7th-12th September this year and organisers remain hopeful that it will go ahead as the vaccine programme in Europe progresses. The Cannes show is not only held in one of the most magnificent settings in Europe, at the heart of the French Rivera, it also offers a great opportunity to see what is currently on the market and view different models and brands.
We will be there to meet with you to discuss and advise you on such decisions, or answer any questions you might have and we believe a yacht show like Cannes is the best place to start in the journey to yacht ownership. Get in touch if you would like to meet in Cannes for a chat about your next project and we would be more than happy to help. The Cannes Yacht Show will also see CNB exclusively reveal their newest model, CNB 88, which is not to be missed!
We are also looking ahead to shows such as Monaco towards the end of September, 22nd-25th, Barcelona in October, 7th-12th, and the Fort Lauderdale show at the end of October, 27th-31st, that might present a better opportunity to meet our American clients. A list of events we are hoping to attend this year can be found on our website. Get in touch if you are planning to come to any of the shows and we can arrange a meeting.
After 3 years in the works, Sunreef Yachts has unveiled the layout of the new luxury range of 60-90ft Catamarans. The new designs prioritise comfort on board by utilising the volume of both hulls and bridge deck to maximise living space for guests, offering greater freedom and the opportunity of customisation. Customisation is always at the heart of Sunreef projects, but with this new concept and masses of living space, the owner is able to design and create the living spaces as they see fit. The saloon of the yacht features full height windows that opens onto the sides and the lounging area of the aft cockpit. Other standout features include the beach club and sundeck that can host a master suite with incredible panoramic views along with an outdoor area perfect for fitness activities or relaxation.
You may have also seen a feature about Sunreef’s 100 Eco range if you follow our social media pages. This sustainable supercat is taking responsible, eco-friendly yachting to the next level and it is bringing the glamour and luxury of other Sunreef ranges with it. With revolutionary green technology and an abundance of living space, the Sunreef 100 Eco is elite when it comes to sustainable Superyacht design. Fitted with twin 270kW electric engines, the Sunreef 100 Eco offers a 360° sustainable yachting experience with ultralight, high performance batteries as well as Sunreef Yachts’ proprietary solar power system. Thanks to the shipyard’s award-winning technology the craft can welcome up to 242,5m² of composite-integrated solar panels, generating up to 46kWp.
The Sunreef Eco range won the Union Internationale Motonautique Environmental Award last month after the shipyard’s in-house engineered solar power system was voted the most innovative green motor yacht technology. The UIM Environmental Award recognises outstanding environmental leaders or organisations that have excelled in inspiration, vision, innovation, leadership and initiatives to the benefit of the Environment.
Following this award, the Sunreef 60 Eco range was awarded ‘Best Electric Sailboat’ in ‘The Gussies’ awards. Besides a reliable and efficient electric propulsion, the Sunreef 60 E stands out with a carbon fiber bimini with in-built curved solar panels, weight-efficient and sustainable finishing materials as well as a non-toxic bottom paint. The Eco range is becoming increasingly popular and if you would like to find out more about it, get in touch and we will be able to help.
