Do you also feel the breeze of freedom?
As a team we are preparing for a busy summer season following a great start to the year; we are hoping to travel to meet more of you around the world to discuss new projects, visit shipbuilding factories and attend boat shows as restrictions are eased and it is safe to do so.
Whats more, it is finally official that after a long suspension period, the boat show is back, with the beautiful and warm Palma de Mallorca as its first venue! According to the UK press and the UK Government forecasts, from June 1st we will be able to go travelling within the EU and therefore go sailing around the Mediterranean before too long. Let’s hope this is true. We do miss the summer sailing in the Med…
The team is travelling out to Mallorca on the 1st June and will be available to meet up for a chat about your new project over a coffee or a beer and some tapas, so get in touch! If you have no plans for June 3-6 2021, the team would love to see you there. This is the 1st major yacht show in Europe for almost 18 months, so we expect it to be busy with lots of yachts available for viewing which is a great opportunity for new yacht owners, or experienced owners, looking for a project. Our role is to help you make the right choice when searching for a yacht and what drives us is always what you need and what suits you best. It is definitely high time to jump into the new yachting season again: https://www.s6marine.co.uk/s6-marine-news/save-the-new-date-palma-superyacht-show/

As well as the Palma show in June, we are also hoping to visit the Sunreef factory for a catch up and to discuss future build projects. If you are interested in purchasing a Sunreef Catamaran then the factory tour is great way to learn about the brand, the build process and to see some finished models to enable you to make the important decisions about equipment and design. Do get in touch if you are interested in joining us in Poland.
Yachts on the Market
So far this year, Karolina was able to travel to the Dominican Republic in April where she had the opportunity to see the Sunreef 62 ‘EL CAPI, that is currently for sale- she was amazed at its condition. There is a full article about EL CAPI on our website, so if you missed it by any chance you will find it with the following link: https://www.s6marine.co.uk/s6-marine-news/sunreef-62-for-sale/. We also have a brochure full of technical specifications and pictures. If you would like the brochure get in touch and we can send you a copy.
We have also been given the opportunity to sell the latest hull currently nearing the end of build, hull no.3 for Advanced Yachts Italy’s A66 model. It is a very nicely designed yacht by one of the world’s top design houses, Reichel Pugh, who are renowned for their hull shapes being amongst the fastest around. Jim Pugh tells us that build quality is of a really high standard as the yacht builder is a highly respected and experienced yard. The A66 presents a chance to get a new yacht at a very competitive price with the option to make some tweaks and additions in time for delivery out of Italy. Viewing of this yacht is encouraged and we would love to see one of our clients take up this opportunity.
Moreover, the Sunreef Eco range is becoming an increasingly popular choice for eco-conscious yacht owners. The Eco range offers something you’ve never seen before; luxury without the guilt. The E-Catamaran is powered by an eco-electric propulsion system that generates power whilst you sail, while the battery bank and solar panels harvest clean energy throughout the day. Combine this revolutionary marine technology and recycled, sustainable materials with the classic refined elegance, class and comfort as well as high-quality performance and style expected from any Sunreef yacht and you have the ultimate vessel. More details about the range can be found here: https://www.s6marine.co.uk/s6-marine-news/sunreef-eco-yachts-the-green-future/
Sunreef’s Eco Range recently won the UIM Environmental Award with its solar power system recognised as the most innovative green motor yacht technology.
Sunreef 60 Eco, Supercat-E, is available for charter with our sister company, diYachting, in the Seychelles from November this year. This presents the perfect opportunity for prospective owners to ‘try before you buy’ from the Eco range. In the Mega-Yacht world Damen Yachting have also announced the new SeaXplorer model, the 105, which is more spectacular than ever. This is the largest of all the models in the line with more than 62,000 square foot of volume across eight decks and with an 8,000 mile travel range, she can cross the Pacific with ease. The infinite space on this yacht accommodates two owner’s suites, sleeps 24 guests and 29 crew, has garages for two helicopters, a heli-deck that also acts as a tennis or half-basketball court and outdoor cinema with a C SEED unfolding screen, space for five 43 ft tenders and garage space for a submarine, snowmobiles and kayaks.
She is also host to her very own water sports centre, scuba deck and water level platform for immediate access to the sea. The swim platform also acts as an open bar with an upstairs lounge. It is an incredible example of a super yacht both on the inside and outside! You can find more information and some pictures here: https://www.s6marine.co.uk/s6-marine-news/super-yacht-seaxplorer-105-the-new-345-ft-transoceanic-expedition-yacht/. If you are interested in discussing a similar project of your own, get in touch and the team will be able to help.
Keep an eye out on our website for our new brokerage page that will be active soon, making it easier to see which yachts are available as well as their detailed specifications and picture galleries.
So to end, let’s hope that we have finally seen off the lockdowns and we can start to see the family and friends we have been missing. Our thoughts are with all of you and your families and let’s rejoice in the ability to say “Hello and how are you” in person.
We hope to see you soon in Palma or somewhere else warm and preferable on the water.,
The S6 Marine Team-
Matt, Karolina, Perry and Olivia
